July 13, 2015, President Ilham Aliyev chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the results of socioeconomic development in the first half of 2015 and objectives for the future. The head of state made an opening speech.
Touching upon the issue of electricity supply in Baku and regions, President Ilham Aliyev noted the establishment of new power stations for supplying new areas of growing Baku city, such as Baku White City - a city in a city.
The opening of a new White City boulevard was also noted by President as a good achievment: "...This year a new White City boulevard opened in Baku. It was established in the zone of ecological disaster... I believe that the oil refinery located close to the White City boulevard should gradually be moved."
