Students from TISA international school visited Baku White City as part of their studies on sustainable urban development. Learning about the transformation of the project area from Black City into White City gave them a practical understanding of sustainable development in action.

The students were introduced to the environmental assessment and BREEAM certification process completed by both business centres built in Baku White City.

During the tour, the students visited Baku White City Office Building 2020, which houses the COP29 headquarters, and viewed the nearby sculptures: the Karabakh Horse by Robert Summers, the Thinker by Joseph Klibansky, the Dragon by MAAS and “La Gran Manzana” by Enrique Cabrera.

The students also viewed the restored structures for the double refining of kerosene in Oil Square, first commissioned in Baku in 1863, and the drinking water distribution pavilion. From there, they enjoyed beautiful views of Nizami Park.
