On July 7, Baku hosted the Electric Vehicle Festival, organised by the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation (AAF).

The event aimed to highlight the importance of eco-friendly vehicles and raise public awareness of their benefits. It was held as part of Azerbaijan’s “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” and in the run-up to COP29.

The festival, held in Baku White City, showcased environmentally friendly transport — “green” vehicles that do not harm our planet.

The inaugural festival was sponsored by NEO Motors, with support from the Baku White City project, Azerishig OJSC and Azerenerji OJSC. Efendiler Group, Volt Group, Improtex Motors, Onvolt Group, Cahan Motors and Nurgün Motors joined as festival partners.

Speakers at the festival included AAF Vice-President Farid Mammadov and Elnur Soltanov, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chief Executive Officer of COP29.

The festival attracted considerable interest from numerous visitors, who viewed the eco-friendly vehicles and received detailed information about their features and advantages. Certificates were presented to sponsors and partners in recognition of their contributions to the successful delivery of the festival. The event concluded with a musical entertainment programme.
