Up to 500 thousand cubic meters of contaminated soil has been transported from Baku White City area

Baku, 25 June (AzerTag). State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic's (SOCAR) "Ekol Engineering Services" Closed Joint-Stock Company (JSC) which launched the transportation of contaminated soils of "Baku White City" project in 2010 continues to work in the current year. According to the company, The Department of land reclamation of "Ekol Engineering Services" during the corresponding period of the current year rapidly transports oil-contaminated lands in the territory of Baku White City project in several ways from the old industrial sites of "Azerneftyag" refinery. Necessary personnel and equipment were involved in the project and during the last period up to 500 thousand cubic meters of contaminated soil has been transported. At present, the project is underway.
